Meet Hunter!

This 1979 Mini 1275 GT has been fully rebuilt . Fast, clean, retro and a little obnoxious!


This mini was tuned on a rolling road recently and produced 100 bhp and 90 ibs/ft with plenty left in it, with both seats fitted and fuel in the tank it weighs 544 kg, the cross corner weights are within 0.25%!

I won the car in a raffle , I bought two tickets for about £20 in total . 

Since having the car I've stripped out the seats and replaced them with new ones for FIA and size reasons . I’ve also toed the wheels in slightly, to allow for a more friendly road use.

I'm slowly adding more and more to the car, I’ve colour matched all the engine bay from red hoses fitted, a oil catch can, changed the rocker cover for a high lift red one to match, fitted rally lights and wired them in, put aluminium plating in the arches to stop stones in the the engine bay, put rally platting in the passenger seat footwell and been tinkering to be honest . 

The car when I received it was in a full nut and bolt restoration condition so I haven't thankfully had much to do.

First time I ever entered a car competition and won with two tickets, I was stunned!

It now lives in my summer house which is a nightmare to get in and out , but I put the heating on for it and have a fan constantly blowing over it ( the electric bill is not good! ) but it's worth it . 

I plan to take it out as much as I can and show it as well as taking it on track now and again but use it and get enjoyment from it.

I’ve owned it since Feb this year , so plenty more to do engine wise, and ideas, meets and shows
